Meeting with Product Owner

Today we had a meeting with Boris – our product owner.
He told us that we must hurry up and that this Friday we must present the installation operating from the technical side (it doesn’t have to be the final version). Meeting on Friday is just advice on what to do next

He also checked our blog and said that we would be judged from the blog.

Painting the dome #8

I was sure I could make this paint work, as we previously saw good results with the thinner paint from Bertus Workel.

This time I decided to mix the paint with water, make it thinner and let it dry.

This time it dried much quicker as the paint was thinner, but the water in the mixture again caused it to run down the walls. at this point it seemed impossible to make that coating perfect as we initially intended.

Painting the dome #7

The paint was very thick and I had to be very careful when applying to keep the thickness consistent throughout the whole dome. The paint took a lot of time to dry (2 days) which made me think the coat might be too thick for any light to go through. That wasn’t true though. However the amount of light wasn’t enough. The image was too dim, any details were barely visible and the coating was inconsistent, as some places were thicker than other, mainly the top and the bottom sides. we tried multiple beamers but none seamed to work.

The paint was washed off Once again.

Problems fixing with OSC

Today we tried to connect the arduino to Izabela her prototype she made in Unity.
We faced some problems with OSC we couldn’t figure out.
We looked but couldn’t find the problem.

But Boris helped us and we could now use the piezo’s and the buttons with the Unity Program.
There was apparently a problem with the naming of the OSC message and the sending/receiving got messed up.
This is us after it finally worked:

Sponsor run 3.0

Today we went back to our potentiol sponsors. Kaj’s guitar store agreed to sponsor us! Van Weersel wanted to but appearantly there is no mention or information to be found on our project whatsoever. We are not even an entry on the enschede promotions agenda. Which is very odd. Once we send her a link with the mention of us in Enschede promotions she agreed to join us. We made some nice formal invoices and send them to our sponsors as well.

We also bought some of the materials we needed for the drumpads and a pair of drumsticks.

Update: The information appearantly was somewehere, just very hard to find. Van Weersel agreed to sponsor us!

2D Planet Designs I

Today I made two 2D planet designs. I started with the two stores we still need to push over the edge for the sponsoring. Because of this I put a little more effort in making it a true ‘picture’ rather than concept sketches for the designs.

I also revised and changed our entire scrum board according to Yvens’ feedback. It should be way more clear and useful now.

Painting the dome #6

We already knew the Chalk paint was a good option een though the last one was not enough and mixing it with water caused runs, so I bought another 2 bottles (the last ones unfortunately) and tried it again. That wasn’t enough again so it all went washed in the sink. That however gave us the idea to find chalk paint in higher quantities. As it turns out, Action was selling the same type of washable paint for the same amount of money, but it was 750 ml. Great! I went to action on my way to saxion back from work and bought the paint.

I painted the dome with it and let it dry.
